The author of the idea and general producer of this project is also M.

For example, in 2004, of all Ukrainian-language music projects on UT-1, only programs sponsored by M. Poplavsky (“Our Song” “Step to the Stars”) were released. The program of the New Year’s broadcast planned only a night “concert of Ukrainian pop stars” and for some reason it was removed from the air. In 2005, after the Orange Revolution, the share of Ukrainian-language song products on UT-1 increased significantly, and on the eve of the new 2006 a one and a half hour program “New Year in our way” was released, which was not only entirely Ukrainian (even Asiya Akhat sang in Ukrainian!), but also sustained in specifically Ukrainian ethnographic visual forms (entourage of the Hutsul village).

However, in the autumn of 2006, when the pro-Russian team of Viktor Yanukovych returned to the leadership of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, UT-1 reacted quickly with the appearance of a formally bilingual, but in fact Russian-language music show “Golden Harmonica” made in the world. top 10 parade. But strangely enough, for some reason out of the ten most popular songs by viewers, only one was in Ukrainian, two in English, and the rest in Russian.

Finally, the new year 2008, which is partly perceived as an “orange déjà vu” UT-1 met again with an expanded issue of “New Year in our way.”

Having the status of a state-wide national multifunctional channel, UT-1 has certain exclusive rights to broadcast important international events for Ukraine. Among the musical events is, of course, the annual Eurovision Song Contest. In 2005 and 2006, in addition to broadcasting the final concert of this competition, UT-1 also prepared a series of programs covering Ukraine’s preparations for this event (in particular, a series of qualifying competition concerts with interactive voting of TV viewers). As the procedure for selecting a representative from Ukraine for “Eurovision-2008”, this important segment of the national music broadcast automatically “dropped” from the air network of the First National.

Of course, “Eurovision” is not the only festival project covered on UT-1 (it is worth mentioning “Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk” and “Dreamland”, etc.).

The main cyclic music TV projects on UT-1 today are:

1. Programs prepared by UT-1 together with the Kyiv National Institute of Culture and Arts (not without reason in society, these programs are sometimes called “Poplavsky’s projects”):

Step to the Stars – All-Ukrainian Children’s Television Competition, prepared jointly with the International Charitable Foundation “Gifted Children of Ukraine”. President, general producer and host of the competition – Rector of KNUKiM M. Poplavsky. The jury consists of famous Ukrainian artists Oleksandr Zlotnyk, Ivan Popovych, Nina Matvienko, Anatoliy Matviychuk, Viktor Shportko, Valeria Virska, Inesh, Iryna Bilyk, Ani Lorak, Viktor Pavlik, Aniko Rekhviashvili and others.

Basic principles of “Step to the stars”:

high professional level; free participation in the competition for any child; holding a competition on the main stage of the country – the National Palace “Ukraine”; broadcast on the First National Channel of Ukrainian television.

The first TV program of the All-Ukrainian Children’s Contest “Step to the Stars” aired in June 2000. During the existence of the TV project, hundreds of programs were broadcast on UT-1 and regional channels. Children’s groups from all over Ukraine take part in the TV project. Each qualifying round gathers more than a thousand contestants from different parts of Ukraine.

This program has gathered young talents from all over Ukraine. For gifted children, this is a great opportunity to take the first steps on the professional stage and see yourself on the central all-Ukrainian television channel.

Krok has already gained international recognition, and its participants have won first and second prizes at children’s competitions and festivals in America, Finland, Poland, Italy and Bulgaria. During the years of its existence on the first national channel “Step to the Stars” he won awards in the media contest “Golden Pen” and in the art action “City of Children” and the founder of the creative competition Mikhail Poplavsky – a diploma at the festival “Hit of the Year”.

Our song is a television music product that aims to promote the Ukrainian national song, the best achievements of Ukrainian chanson (also known as “traditional pop”). The author of the idea and general producer of this project is also M. Poplavsky.

Our Song was first aired on National Television on January 18, 2004, and has been aired weekly ever since.

2. Muz-ua. Music and information program about Ukrainian show business news, aimed at popularizing modern national song. Information about significant events, premieres and debuts alternates with “secular chronicles” about the lives of Ukrainian stars, clips of famous national artists. This weekly half-hour program is a relative newcomer to national television, airing in September 2006.

3. Finally, the New Year’s seven-part project UT-1 “Favorite Songs” became a rather bold but long-awaited attempt to combine different styles and epochs of Ukrainian song development, to show in action the longevity of the national pop-song tradition. His idea is to show the relevance of popular Ukrainian songs of the past decades for modern Ukrainians. That is why the “old” songs here are embedded in the mouths of the stars of modern Ukrainian show business.

The cycle is based on the retrospective principle and genre of musical documentary film, where each program (series) is dedicated to a certain decade: “Favorite songs of the 50’s” “Favorite songs of the 60’s” and so on until the 90s of the twentieth century. To a large extent, the project corresponds to the Russian “Old songs about the main thing” and is a kind of “Ukrainian response” to it (they say, we also have something to remember and something to be proud of!). According to Olena Zagorodniuk, Director of Music and Entertainment at NTCU, “we tried to approach the issue of stage entertainment as carefully as possible: we applied fresh ideas to visualize stage numbers and used new technologies during filming. In one music project we combined different eras of Ukrainian song. “.

Although the realization of the idea cannot be considered quite successful both in terms of staging (a marathon of concert numbers in a TV movie significantly inhibits the action, deprives it of “film” intrigue) and in terms of content – for people who remember the first performers of Ukrainian songs, say 50 -60s, modern pop “zhivchyky” look partly so disproportionate to the brilliant professional singers Yu. Gulyaev, D. Hnatiuk, D. Petrynenko, that at first glance may give the impression of serious cultural degradation of Ukraine, even compared to the “cursed Soviet past” “.

There are many chronological errors: for example, “Song of the Towel” was written in the 50’s, not in the 60’s, and “Kyiv Waltz” by I. Shamo, on the contrary – in the 60’s, not in the 50’s. In the series dedicated to the 80s, there is a whole potpourri of songs by V. Bystryakov, but there is almost no place for songs of “national revival” (except, perhaps, two songs by T. Petrynenko) and so on.

However, with proper critical rethinking, this project may have the potential to be revised and continued.

Journal as a type of document: general information. Abstract

General description of the magazine as a type of document. Division of journals into classes, subclasses, groups

The rapid development of mass media, due to democratic changes in our country, liberalization of social processes, lack of political censorship, raises the urgent need for deeper theoretical understanding of the place, role, professional level, thematic focus and many other factors of both newspaper and magazine periodicals. And if the activity of the first is still in the field of view of scientists, the magazines in this regard are much less fortunate. In library catalogs, in fact, there is no theoretical, or at least analytical research in the field of journal periodicals.

Journal – a periodical document containing articles or abstracts, reviews on various socio-political, industrial, scientific issues, literary and artistic works. Articles in the magazine, in comparison with the newspaper, of a larger volume, have a constant rubrication. Magazines – illustrated publications, have a broader theme than the newspaper.
